Mark One interviewed on stage at the 2009 Woodson Barrow Role Model Luncheon organised & hosted by C-A-N-i CEO Ken Barnes
10th October 2009

RLF 5th Annual Event

When Mark One received an email requesting support for the 2009 Woodson Barrow Role Model Luncheon, there was no choice but to get involved. The Woodson Barrow Role Model Luncheon is a great event created by Ken Barnes CEO of C-A-N-i. The three year old event held in London, Docklands at the Marriott Hotel focuses on our young adult generation ensuring that they have the opportunity to meet accomplished professionals from a variety of industries, in a role model capacity, and ask questions on their career path.

RLF 5th Annual Event

Mark One made a financial donation towards the event and also donated his time to be a role model for the young adults in attendance. “It was truly humbling for me when Ken Barnes requested I be the role model the two young adult interviewee's, interviewed on stage as a key component of the event” said Mark One. The questions were great, Mark One screened his current showreel and the audience showed their appreciation with a warm round of applause!

We would like to thank everyone that made the 2009 Woodson Barrow Role Model Luncheon a success for the young adults in attendance, especially Ken Barnes for the opportunity for us to be involved, and the C-A-N-i team for looking after us. The BBAF's 'The Filmmakers' Event Held At The BBC With Host Danny John-Jules
23rd June 2009

We would like to thank the BBAF for hosting another inspirational event at the BBC, and asking Mark One to be the opening speaker. The over subscribed event was fantastic which in our opinion is largely down to the enthusiastic audience.

Mark One was joined by guest speakers, Pravesh Kumar the Artistic Director of Rifco Arts, producing national and international work for Theatre, Film and Video for 12 years as a successful Producer Director and Writer, Louise Decoteau and award-winning Director Alrick Riley (The Cops, Hustle, Spooks and Hotel Babylon) of Cinnamon Films.

Thank you to all the young people that spoke to Mark One after the event, it was really encouraging to see so much
talent and energy networking. It was great to meet Danny John-Jules an on screen icon and Charles Thompson CEO of
Screen Nation
, both heroes of ours. Big thank you to the BBAF once again.
